Whisky Bar Concept by Arch Interiors Glasgow Interior Design Agency — The Concept

This concept project was dedicated to whisky enthusiasts who want to widen their horizons and discover new tastes from around the world.

Inspired by its location - Scottish Highlands and local distillery the project is filled with traditional touches. Featuring golden sandstone cladding around the fireplace, reclaimed floor planks, whisky barrels and copper fixtures with classic wall panels complimented by traditional upholstered seating in vintage leather keeping in mind soft hues and tones.

The bar area is designed to allocate over 900 whisky bottles from around the world, each bay is custom made with lights shining directly on the label. The bar counter is cladded with rustic planks and copper strips, the bar top of white marble to enhance contrast with the rich colour of whisky.

Whisky Tasting Room

The room's design draws inspiration from the rich heritage of whisky-making, incorporating elements like reclaimed wood, copper accents, and aged leather, which evoke the warmth and authenticity of a traditional distillery. Yet, it is modernized with sleek, minimalist furniture and subtle lighting that highlights the amber glow of the whisky, creating an environment that feels both timeless and refined.

Whisky Display

The display is designed to immerse guests in the whisky experience, not just through taste but also through visual and tactile elements. It encourages a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and the natural resources that go into creating each bottle of whisky.

Setting the mood

Mood and feel came naturally from beautiful Scottish Highlands. We created a mix of traditional finishes with a hint of classical style giving visitors an unforgettable Scottish experience and a homely atmosphere for local customers.

Working with a square foot print of 75m2, we created areas for different purposes with 60 covers all together.
Bar counter with display back bar bays
Fixed seating area (banquette)
Flexible seating area (tables for 2)
The snug area (sofas + coffee tables)
Testing area (poseur tables and bar stools)

Furniture, fixtures, and equipment

Commercial projects require a specific approach in choosing all furniture and fixings. Having all safety regulations in mind we work with various contract suppliers to select safety goods to all non domestic sites.

We used a mixture of materials such as faux leather, reclaimed floor, quartz, textured wallpaper, wall panels, copper and sandstone to achieve the desirable look - traditional and classic style.

We used photos from a local artist photographer further adding to project mood, colours and location with beautiful shots of wildlife, landscape and nature.
