COMPLETED PROJECTS
Regis Coffee Bar & Bistro
Combining urban style with organic biophilic design.
Project requirements: Site Survey | Consultation | Concept Design | Space Planning | 3D Render | Procurement | Technical Drawings
The Concept
The concept was to connect urban elements like metal, concrete or brick and contrast it with natural wood, floral upholstery, wall covers and greenery.
Located at one of the largest business parks in Scotland, the project was designed to attract professionals from nearby offices to enjoy their work breaks and provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
Setting the mood
We take the time to work closely with clients when searching for inspiration, determining direction, identifying key elements, and setting goals for a project. This project aimed to create a tranquil and inviting space to provide breathing space whether it's during a coffee break, lunch, or a meeting with clients away from the office.

Space planning
Working with 90m2 foot print, we created various zones with 68 covers all together:
Servery counter with back bar
Fixed eating area (booths)
Flexible eating area(table for 2 & 4)
Coffee area (arm chairs + coffee tables)
Cosy area (sofas + coffee tables)
Meeting area (screens + tables for 2)

Furniture, fixtures, and equipment
Commercial projects require a specific approach in choosing furniture and fixings. With safety regulations in mind, we work with contract suppliers to deliver only safety approved goods to all non domestic sites.

Materials
This project required achieving the perfect balance between metal, concrete, wood and greenery on carefully selecting surfaces, their place and use including:
Floor finishes
Wall finishes
Solid surface and table finishes
Upholstery

Natural elements
Exploring diverse types of foliage was an exciting aspect of this project. However, in a bustling environment like this, functionality was key. Fortunately, there are now many realistic artificial plants on the market that perfectly serve the purpose of adding visual interest.
